Darby, the bear, has brought so much comfort and joy to someone who spends a lot of time in bed with numerous medical issues. Darby hugs are awesome and feel almost lifelike. Sleeping with Darby brings a sense of comfort and security. Darby is weighted just right and in all the right places. Just holding Darby throughout the day brings a sense of calm and comfort. Darby was delivered to the recipient in good shape and have no issues thus far with any seems coming apart and Darby is loved and slept with every day and night.

I’m autistic and bought this Hugimal after realising I was craving deep pressure input (something that helps regulate the nervous system). I was hesitant at first — it felt like a lot of money for what I thought was “just a teddy” (even though I love teddies!) — but I’m so glad I took the plunge.
The quality is incredible. You can feel straight away that it’s made to last, unlike some cheaper weighted plushies. It’s so soft and well-made, with no odd smell (a big plus for me as I’m very sensitive to scents). His ears are ridiculously fluffy and comforting to stroke, and the weight is evenly distributed throughout his arms, legs, and tummy — which makes him feel extra grounding. I love putting his weighted arms over me, like he’s hugging me back.
He’s ridiculously cute, and I’ve found myself reaching for him throughout the day when I’m feeling tense or overstimulated. I’ve had weighted blankets before, but this feels different — more personal and instantly soothing.
If you’re on the fence because of the price, I honestly think it’s worth it for the comfort and quality. He’s become my instant “weighted hug” friend, and I can’t imagine not having him now. 🐨💛
I absolutely love Sam the Sloth from Hugimals! It was exactly what I needed for my proprioceptive needs! Other weighted stuff animals just were not helping me. When I first hugged Sam the Sloth I was filled with so much happiness. It really triggered healing and the feeling of security I needed. That deep pressure therapy I was longing for! I’ve been dealing with anxiety, depression, and other issues for some time now. I was so thrilled to find that this company offered an adorable brown bear. I’ve had this bear for over two weeks now, and I have noticed that it helps calm me down and focus on more pleasant thoughts. I’ve fallen asleep with this wonderful weighted plush bear several times. Thank you for creating these awesome plushies. I like this company and the story behind its creation.
My daughter had a serious injury which caused a great deal of pain and her anxiety was through the roof. When the Koala arrived was at the apex of her experience and when I gave her my present, she pulled it to her. Through the day I would find her hugging it to her while she slept. It was her constant companion for a few days. FYI she has had anxiety since the age of 3. Is now 45. So it works. ❤️
I ordered Emory the elephant for my great nephew, Emory, for his 4th birthday. He loved it. I was very pleased with the quality of the animal. I really loved some of your other animals, too. Your shop is on my radar for Christmas. Thank you for your lovely product.
This is my second hugimal! I love my bear. I sleep with him every night. I read with him on my chest and it’s so comforting. Love this company!!
I bought him for my 90 year old mom. My Dad died 5 weeks ago today, and since I have gifted two other people with Hugimals, I thought Mom would be comfortable. She is!

How do our weighted products work?
